Each winter the influenza virus wreaks havoc on our ability to work and play. Symptoms of the flu include fever, fatigue, muscle aches, headache, runny nose, cough, and stomach symptoms like nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Pain Relief & Management

There are two main types of pain:
Acute pain is a normal response to an injury, such as a sprain, break, or torn/pulled muscle. It arises suddenly and is usually quickly resolved. Chronic pain extends beyond the time expected for healing and persists for three months or more. Many chronic pain cases can stem from autoimmune conditions such as arthritis or injuries that haven't fully healed.
The best approach for managing pain is to utilize a range of therapies: deep tissue work, spinal manipulation, anti inflammatory diet, relaxation techniques, meditation, acupuncture, injection therapies and sometimes pain relieving medicine and/or supplements.

Family Medicine

Family medicine practitioners provide a range of healthcare services for their patients. Diagnosing diseases early and identifying risk factors are vital to maintaining and improving your health and wellness. Our family medicine providers seek to develop a long-term relationship with you to understand and treat you as a whole person. As partners in your healthcare, they practice the naturopathic principle Docere – latin for doctor as teacher, to educate and empower. Using natural medicine, they can help you improve your health – body, mind and spirit. They will evaluate your current health status and work to address chronic health problems or just support your healthy lifestyle. If a new condition arises that requires special care, it will be addressed before it becomes a larger problem. Your appointment will take longer because the time spent listening is critical to understanding your concerns and identifying its underlying causes. Learn more about natural health care for you or your child today!
