The team at Sonoran University Clinical Care aims to make medical care accessible through TeleND telemedicine. Both Supervised Shift visits and private provider visits are available through TeleND, meaning that you’ll still be able to receive a full assessment of treatment options, prescriptions, and holistic recommendations. The Medical Center and Neil Riordan Center are the teaching clinics for Sonoran University Health Sciences College of Naturopathic Medicine. Patients will be provided with a discounted rate for Supervised Student Shift visits, while allowing our future naturopathic doctors to gain the valuable experience of providing individualized care and applying newly-learned skills to real-life patient inquiries.
Your care during a Supervised Shift visit is led by a robust health care team comprised of the attending physician, resident, and 3rd and 4th year naturopathic medical students. The student clinicians report to the attending physician and resident and will be the first provider to come in to see you, discuss the next steps, answer additional questions, work through physical exams and lab work, etc. The entire healthcare team will partner with you to deeply understand your health and wellness experience and to create goals together for your well-being. You’ll be offered information and choices along the way as your care team designs your treatment plan. You’re encouraged to be an active participant in your wellness journey, working together towards optimal health with each return visit.
Supervised Shift appointments are usually longer in time (1 to 1 ½ hours), due to the detailed initial intake and discussion with the physician regarding the best steps for your care.
As a “thank you” for your contribution to our medical students’ clinical education, Supervised Shift visits are offered at a discounted rate.

While most of what we do is train the next generation of physicians, we know that some patients prefer a more traditional one-on-one visit with a physician. With that in mind, many of our providers offer private clinic visits. While the fee schedule for Private Provider visits differs from Supervised Shift visits, patients can expect a more time-efficient visit. Everything else is the same: convenient location, friendly patient services representatives, qualified and experienced providers, on-site lab, and natural medicinary.

Call to make your private visit with your provider 480-970-0000. We will set you up with an active Patient Portal Account, with username and password once you have called and scheduled an appointment.
“Arrive early” by logging in to your Patient Portal. If you can’t access the Portal, you can also begin your appointment through the reminder link sent to your email.
Click Join TeleVisit in your patient dashboard (or email reminder).
Fill out any patient questionnaires and provide requested personal information.
Click Proceed to check your computer’s speed and ability to support a TeleND visit. If your computer does not have a webcam (most do), you will need to attach one.
Click Start TeleVisit to enter the virtual waiting room.
Your physician will begin the face-to-face TeleND visit and disconnect when your visit ends.
If you need to have any labs done, we have an on-site CLIA accredited laboratory. Our staff consists of a team of experts who specialize in drawing blood, including pediatric draws.
