Dr. Yong Deng is an internationally well-known expert in Chinese medicine and acupuncture, teaching and practicing at medical schools in China and the United States for 40+ years. Due to his extensive knowledge, Dr. Deng was invited to Sonoran University in 1996 and served as the chair and professor of the Department of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine until September 2023. He was a member of the State of Arizona Acupuncture Board of Examiners and has published over 40 papers and several books including the Encyclopedia of Chinese and U.S. Patent Herbal Medicines. In the Sonoran University’s Neil Riordan Center, Dr. Deng is specializes in treating patients with Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Cupping, Gua Sha, moxibustion, Electric stimulation, and other adjunct TCM modalities such as lifestyle, diet, exercise consultations. He is currently Senior Staff Physician and Professor Emeritus in the University
