Dr. Barnett, Iowa native, focused on acupuncture and chiropractic for over ten years after graduating from Northwestern in 1996 and then moved to Arizona to earn his NMD from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. He subsequently earned his MSc in endocrinology so that he could focus on rheumatologic and non-diabetic endocrine diseases as a naturopathic physician. His dissertation demonstrated a hypothyroid focus: A Qualitative Review of the Physical & Psychological Benefits of T3: Isn’t It Time for a Paradigm Shift in Hypothyroidism Management? Now that he is full-time as Residency Director, his clinical focus has returned to its roots, treating chronic fatigue/stiffness/pain in his student and private shifts.
